Holy crap!

I've heard this new band at ManRay which sounds like VNV Nation, but in a good way. I tried to remember some of the lyrics, and tracked it down on the Interweb. The song is called forever, by a band called bruderschaft. Now I know why it sounded familiar.
The vocals are done by Ronan Harris and Stephan Groth (VNV Nation and Apoptygma Berzerk), Joakim Montelius from Covenant does the programming, and Sebastian Komor from Icon of Coil does the music. The CD is the one song, remixed about a dozen times, and all net profits will be donated to charity for cancer research and treatment.
It's the epitome of synth-pop, but good synth-pop.
The song is damn awesome, and I will not be downloading it.

Some mysteries defy rational explination...

Date: 2003-11-29 08:10 am (UTC)the release itself it lame. 50 remixes of a single song. BORING.
We couldnt even sell the thing at the store - still have like 8 copies in stock. no one wants it. (and detroit as a LOT of VNV fans)

Date: 2003-11-29 01:03 pm (UTC)I like the song itself, I thought that so many remixes of it was a little much.
I'll bet it would see a lot more if it were just a 3-4 song EP. I don't really expect a lot from synth pop bands as is, and it's enjoyable to dance too.
