I've heard this new band at ManRay which sounds like VNV Nation, but in a good way. I tried to remember some of the lyrics, and tracked it down on the Interweb. The song is called forever, by a band called bruderschaft. Now I know why it sounded familiar.

The vocals are done by Ronan Harris and Stephan Groth (VNV Nation and Apoptygma Berzerk), Joakim Montelius from Covenant does the programming, and Sebastian Komor from Icon of Coil does the music. The CD is the one song, remixed about a dozen times, and all net profits will be donated to charity for cancer research and treatment.

It's the epitome of synth-pop, but good synth-pop.

The song is damn awesome, and I will not be downloading it.

Yeah, it's like a synthpop uber-group. I find that Ronan Harris' vocals make it sound too much like VNV, personally. However, I highly recommend Alfa Matrix, the Belgian label that Bruderschaft is on. They have a ton of good up-and-coming EBM/synthpop acts.
