I've tried to be good about it, but it's time for a tiny vent.

I hate my job.

It's time to look for another one.

I'm getting that way, too. I'm tired of being expected to be psychic

I'm tired of never knowing the answer, and I'm tired of not caring.

If it's any consolation, I feel your pain.

so I saw. I think you have it worse than I do. Argh.

I'll adapt, it's worth it :)

At least you have the freedom to leave if you want to. Any idea where you'll aim to go next?

Not sure. I have to decide if it's the crappy morning making me hate things, or if I really need a change. Then I need to decide what else I'm trained to do. Then I need to do it.

That's a lot of resolve to handle right now. For now, I'm focusing on finishing out the day.

I don't hate mine...but the commute since I moved is awful. I have no chance of ever moving up in my company...so I will be starting to look soon myself. *hugs*

This is all compounded by a really bad morning before getting here (waking up every hour at night, misplacing my wallet, rain in my car windows, missing two buses right as I leave my door), but I have no motivation. In my last job I felt competent after six months. Now I feel as clueless as ever.

I'm not sure at this point. I'll be staying late to cover shifts, and to make up for some time last week. A lot will depend on how the rest of the day plays out.

You gave it your best shot!

The thing is, I don't feel like I gave it my best shot. I should be able to do better. Gotta work on that!

Oh shit, let's not overreact.

I probably am. I'm not happy, but then lots of people aren't happy in their jobs. I fixed a number of things today, and watching the rain helped calm me down. There are things I can do to better my attitude here, but it's rapidly becoming unsatisfying. First, get out of (tax) debt. Then, worry about more rewarding career.

3) Profit!

So you think you will stay at it until you are out of debt? That is practical, and it lets you evaluate your job less in terms of personal happiness and more in terms of helping you achieve a specific goal, which is more easily quantifiable, and therefore might make it more endurable.

It would probably be too much effort/upheval to move right now. I can stay here until I'm pretty much in the clear. By then I'll know if I want to stick around or not. I will look at a few options as they come up.

Maybe the next few days will be a little better.

well, you gave it a fair try. sorry this seems to be the verdict :/

My verdict is colored by a death-by-1000-papercuts morning.

Do you find yourself not sleeping well, or woken up by noises outside the window? I only got 1.5 hours of sleep at a time last night, which no doubt is contributing to the asstasticness of today.

Very early the rain woke me up, and last night we had to close the window because it was making too much noise from the wind. Other than that, no ... but if your window was open I guess you would have heard more.

That damned mockingbird is always a culprit.
