Lots of catching up in very brief bits
Nov. 30th, 2010 04:01 pmThanksgiving went off without a hitch. All the food came out great, i will try a different carrot recepie next year however. Vegetables weren't too popular, oddly the stuffing wasn't either. The turkey was excellent, falling-off-the-bone good, and the remains have been turned into soup.
Friday was spent mostly in recovery and watching Ballistic: Echs vs. Sever on Netflix. I don't feel bad for dozing through most of it. My roommate had an inpromptu Rock Band night, which ended up just being Hideki. We still rocked out a good long while. Had I been feeling more social, I would have attended my other Thanksgiving dinner that night, but exhaustion won out.
My mood was a bit percarious.
Saturday and Sunday, a lot more vegging, some Warhammer in the afternoons, and finishing off Angel with Tegin. I showed her the first two episodes of Dollhouse and she's hooked.
Work dragged on Monday, but I popped in to see Harry Potter last night. Overall I liked it, but the editing through me off a few times. Some elements worked really well, and I like taking the time to show more elements of the story, but at the same time books and movies have their own rhythms. What' works in a book doesn't always work on film. I'm quite eager to see and sad to see it all wrap up next year. I popped in to Ceremony, but I was just off. I appreciated the old school music, but couldn't get my dance on. The crowd was small and largely unfamilirar (with a few exceptions!)
Today is just all knids of off. I didn't sleep well, had pizza for "breakfast" and my body didn't like it. Everytime I eat pizza I regret it afterwords, yet I keep doing it. I think that's the very definition of insanity. Pizza will have to forever go off the menu. I got a second lunch just to get the awfulness of pizza out of me. I'm looking at a food coma now, but I embrace it willingly.
