After the past few weeks, I was more than ready for a weekend getaway.  Silent Q and I made good time driving up to Montreal.  Our route took us through the White Mountain range.  Lush green hills on both sides of the highway, sharp jagged cliff faces and an ominous sky above.  We passed through two thunderstorms on our way there.  I regretting not being able to pull over and play in them, but we were racing the clock:  Tickets must be retrieved by 8 if we were to see our Friday night movie.  I'm not much of an outdoors person, but I can still appreciate a good forest, that sense of isolation from the rest of the world, and that break from the stress and pressures of daily life.

We pressed on, breezing through the border crossing and gradually the hills gave way to plains, then to farms, then the river and Montreal sprawling before us.  Soon were were in downtown Montreal, ninjaing our way into a parking space right by the theater.  Were we too late?  SilentQ's grinning face set me at ease, we had all our tickets for the next three days, all that remained was to check in and grab some grub.  An hour later we could fully relax, several plates littered with the remains of our Indian food in front of us.  Our plan for the rest of the night was a movie, and either Saphir or a fetish club after wards.  What movie you ask?

Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane was the height of awesomeness.  No, really.  The movie gets right to the point: here are thee people, here's the plane, here are the bio-hazard crates in the plane.... The tension slowly builds until BANG!  ARGH!  It's zombie time.  Part of the fun is seeing the familiar scenes, and cringing, waiting for the mayhem to start. Once it begins it doesn't let up.  Oh, the mayhem and madness.  Howlingly funny dialog (accidental and on purpose), zombie violence galore, this film was funny in all the ways Snakes on a Plane fell flat.  I cannot recomend this film highly enough.  Heatray, this was made for you!  Better yet, it has a release date of October, 2007.  Viewing is mandatory :)

The film let out late, so we passed on our clubbing options for the night.  At one point I woke myself up with snoring, so I can only guess what SilentQ had to put up with.  Hopefully we had enough sleep, we have a long day of sitting ahead of us.
