I passed on an after party so I could be well rested for the day's events.
Start off with the Transformers at noon with my roommate. I hated Sam (so annoying!) but loved the robots. This movie wasn't about Sam, so that made it OK. Some parts of the movie were irritating, but the build up to the reveal of the Transformers worked well. Yay Tom Lenk, boo annoying fat minstrel character.
Drove up to Rockport, with Sara, Mathew, and Badriyaz. We grilled up some tasty food, I make my trademark sangria, and won over some new fans. Talked with Megan about her harrowing cruise experience, then warmed up with some spinning with Hideki and Amanda. The drunken croquet match occurred, with much hilarity. Julia smoked all of us, with your truly commentating and bringing up the rear.
The new kid leads off the other fire spinners, since my bag of tricks is the smallest! I got to try almost all the new stuff I learned, except for the reels. The other spinners were really good and pulled off some tricky maneuvers. At that point the heavens opened, and we sloshed back to Boston. Sara and I made it out to Crypt to help celebrate Terri's birthday and then, blessed, blissful sleep.
Thursday was all about work and laundry.
In about an hour, I prepare to go into Canada.
