When good things happen, it's important to chronicle them.  Saturday's Warhammer tournament was a good day: fun games against cool armies, dice that behaved, and a respectable placing.  I was all prepared to cry PANTS! when the games turned pear shaped, but that never really happened.  My elves may be fickle and easily panicked, but at least I can count on the rats. *grin*

The evening hours where well spent in good company and a veritable river of wine, with frequent stops for cheese, pakoras, and conversation.  We talked about the fear you face when faith erodes and there's nothing to replace it.  How as we grow older we grow less tolerant of mediocre bands and lackluster albums.  And the hidden definitions of the one eyed pirate.  AHH!

Sunday.  Steamboy.  Pretty, but vacant.  That's not entirely true, I think a great story could have been told about science as the savior or destroyer of mankind, and how scientific breakthroughs are bank rolled by the desire for profit and weapons.  Instead, we had two young and HIGHLY annoying characters (the spineless drifting boy and the snotty stuck up rich girl), and 45 minutes of the movie devoted to a slowly falling castle.  For the love of James Watt, fall already!  And crush Scarlett while you're at it, too.  It wasn't a waste of my life, it just could have been much better.  The previews we saw really got me excited:  Old Boy (stylistic action/thriller from Korea), and Kung Fu Shuffle (bowlers!  kung fu!  land lords of doom!)  April will be a good month at the Landmark, mark my words.

Monday and Tuesday were days of working stress, which I'd like to get a handle on quickly, thankyouverymuch.  The stress is really taking the edge off my dancing and This Is Unacceptable.  At least my arm is improved enough that I can return to the gym.  Considering how little success I'm having with step two of my Improvement plan, I may have to shift my priorities a bit.

Wednesday morning update:  work is much better today this morning.  Kudos to fugbug, cris, and brigid for Singularity.  Here's hoping for more fun filled nights.
