there's an interesting piece in Wired about how advanced the Lord of the Rings battle AI is. Apparently, every Uruk-Hai and Rider in the Battle of Helm's Deep is a relatively autonomous CGI actor that is basically deciding to attack, defend, parry and thrust on its own initiative. I'm now imagining a LOTR-modded copy of Age of Mythology with really good graphics.

yeah. very true. i knew beforehand that the battles were going to be computer generated. i tried to pick out when who were/weren't generated. honestly, you can't tell.
