the last entry of the year. Unless I stumble across a computer at the speakeasy, but that would be anachronistic. The past few days have been very nice, in fact today was the calm after them all, or perhaps the calm before the storm? I didn't get big gifts for my parents and sisters. Instead, I bought blank cards, put a little cash in them, and wrote a persoanl message to each of them. Filled the entire inside of the card. I hope they'll type the messages back to me, for I couldn't recrete them. They just flowed out of me: all the things I've wanted to say all of this year, all my admiration and love and joy for them. Things It was important for me to know that they knew. Perhaps I'll post them if they send the text back to me.
Other fun times were had.
And now the end of the year beckons, cold and chaotic. There's a little alcohol keeping my belly warm, and sleep is already pushing at my eyelids. But there are other events to transpire before the year ends, events that I want to be there for. Sharing time with old and new friends, embracing the oncoming year. With more embraces to come.

Happy new year, all.

Many thanks,
I was there early on, but I felt very sick.
I ushered in the New Year lying in my bed, listening to Gridlock, trying to keep my stomach under control.

The good news is, I won.
