A friend of mine took his life this weekend.

He was a yoga instructor, a fire breather, and a becon of light, until he extinguished it.

i can't figure out why he did that, but I want you all to know.

I will never. NEVER. follow in his footspets.

Yeah, I found out, at the BBQ! As in, I've been so out of the loop, I didn't know that what I thought was a BBQ was more like a Wake.
Sadly, he was one of quite few I've known and admired, who in the end had to 'check out early'.
I'll never understand it.
Bright, young, talented, and yet clearly something must have been lacking. . .
You'll be missed G.

I think the only way I'll ever follow in his footsteps is if I catch something terminal. I'll do my best to hang on and live life to it's fullest until it gets too bad to do anything about, and then hopefully have my nearest and dearest with me as I bow out, with my dignity still intact.
