Slight change of programming!

jchrisobrienOur driveway was paved this week. It's looking all fresh and sexy, but we can't park in it until Sunday. I called the Arlington police and notified them I'd be parking on the street. They took my address and license plate and said I was all set. I got a ticket the first day after I called them. When I went to the police records office to clear my ticket, I found out my name wasn't on the list for either night! Way to go, public servants. They did void my ticket (way to go, public servant!), and hopefully the next public servant who takes my call will actually bother to write down my info.
Wildfire tickets went on sale at midnight tonight and there were 91 left when I bought mine this morning! For the love of God, if you want to go to Wildfire BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW!
I did buy a tempurpedic pillow, and there's a funny story that goes along with it. I had a coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond (20% off) so drove out to one of their stores. The clerk I talked to said they didn't have the kind of pillow in stock that I needed, and should try mattress giant across the street. They had several styles of pillow, but I finally settled on one that was technically for stomach sleepers (I am not one), but it was the most comforable. When she pulled out the box to ring it up, it was exactly the brand that they had at Bed Bath and Beyond! Needless to say, I went back to the first store and got my discount. Sorry Mattress Giant saleswoman, but twenty dollars is a decent savings, and BB&B won't try to sell me a special mattress cover for my pillow too, so it's like I saved forty dollars. That's a night of clubbing right there!
