leaving the doldrums

Weekend? A big let down. Highlights on Saturday was a good sushi dinner and watching some Battlestar Galactica. Shelter did not work to shake off the funk. Sunday was a bit nicer, and the weekend was salvaged by Thai food with Mathew, and more discussion over television.
This morning I met my PT, Joanne. We did a lot of motion tests and analysis, and she's ruled out tendinitis or problems with the rotator cuff. Her current diagnosis is a strained rhomboid muscle. She found some weakness on that side, which was a bit of a relief because every time she tested something, it didn't hurt. (I'm not imagining things!) She could definitely see the compensation my body was doing when I did push ups.
She set up a few more visits in May and June to do some follow up work. I'm glad it's a relatively minor (if annoying) injury.
I think I'll celebrate with some poi spinning and dancing tonight.
