jchrisobrienI decided to celebrate the magical once every four years day by staying home and having a Heroes marathon. I'm now caught up to the last four episodes, and it's a big cliffhanger! I also caught up with Spriggan, having some deep conversations and watching Big Trouble in Little China.
Saturday saw a punishing defeat in Warhammer. Some bad dice rolls on turn 2, and a few bone headed decisions. I was definitely not on my game, but I battled back and made a game of it. I managed to cram some laundry and gym work in, then met up with couplingchaos and heatray for drinks and Shelter. I had a good time, but in the end it was a little too off the hook.
Sunday I actually made it to the brunch at a decent hour, all things considered. The food was delicious, the company was excellent. I whiled away the morning hours having a damn good time, then heading into Cambridge for fondue with asenath. Our makeshift fondue worked out very well, we decided to make some bacon too because what doesn't go well with bacon? A nice relaxing end to the weekend.
My roommate is off to England for a week and a half. This is the kind of situation which would normally call for zany shenanigans, but I think things will be calmer than that.
