Friday night was low key, I had an option to go out but was parked in again.  Not the end of the world, as I had my league finals the next day and wanted to be sharp for them.

Saturday, league finals.  I won my first game (against a player that I never beat), and proceeded to lose the second based on a false assumption.  All my dice went south after that bad call.  I lost the third game too, but it was against a good player and I didn't care much at that point.  The cocktail party that evening more than made up for any grumpiness on the field, and Machine once again failed to disappoint.  Still too scattershot at the end of the night, I have a few more nights out coming up where I can work on that.

Recovery Day.  I managed to hit the gym, and watched Perfect Creature and Seven Swords, and that summed up the day.

I tried to get a good eight hours sleep, but spent a least an hour lying restless.  Woke up and am still very tired today.  Maybe a walk in the cold will wake me up a bit.  Looking into some foods that will kick start / keep my metabolism going.  Poi and Down with Tempo are tonight.

ADDITIVELY
coconut oil (improves thyroid function and balances metabolism)
seaweed (krazy vitamins and minerals, including iodine, which fixes thyroid function. a theme!)
kombucha (provides probiotics to improve digestion and is immuno-boosting)
lactofermented kimchi/kraut (bubbies brand is good. also provides probiotics to improve digestion, as well as lots of minerals and immunoprotective goodness)

if all you did was add those things in, you'd see a benefit. but additionally, you could remove or reduce some things, starting with the following, to increase the benefit:

SUBTRACTIVELY
high fructose corn syrup (it's evil and slogs your digestion while killing your adrenals)
soy products (suppresses thyroid function and leeches calcium)
raw cruciferious vegetables (though cooked ones are great and you should eat lots of them. just eating them raw suppresses the thyroid)
wheat (it's hard to cut out, but it's worth it. it gloms up your intestines and makes it hard to absorb nutrients. also it fucks with your appestat [the part of the brain that regulates appetite], which is just plain cheating, if you ask me.)
