Today was the very definition of off kilter. Bad reaction to breakfast and lunch, irritation and exhaustion, short temper. Missed phone calls, books that couldn't be found, missed trains, missed buses, missing bank machines, parked in my drive way.

But all is not lost! Using good old fashioned bio-power (my two feet) and some plastic, procured a delicious sushi dinner that smoothed out all the rough edges of the day, and leaves me with a sated, centered feeling.

Good old sushi. You have not let me down!

My mini-vacation begins now, but this time with more travel. Tomorrow I'm off to NJ for Chistmas with the family, back on Saturday evening, then two days to prepare for NYE, where I plan to ring in the New Year on the Right Note.

Then, it's back to relative normalcy. Regular work weeks, club nights, people back in town. Good times ahead!

Have I told you my sushi sadness? I CAN NO LONGER EAT IT. At least, not more than a couple of pieces, and what is the point of only two pieces of sushi?

Is life still worth living? Should I resign myself to a sushi-free existence? I am heartbroken!

Sashimi, however, seems to still be on the menu, thank goodness.

What is this horrible malady, that prevents you from eating sushi? Is it the rice, or the seaweed?

Thank the stars for sashimi, though. I need to have some good white tuna stat...

I don't know - I thought it was the rice, but I ate inari just fine, so maybe it's the nori? Whatever it is, I'm awfully ill for about three hours afterwards, and angry about it, ha.

Mmm, tuna sashimi.
