Friday night: A dual birthday party the dilboy hall in Davis Square.  The atmosphere was cozy like your grandparent's house, the drinks were crazy like your Uncle Rory.  There was no fur flying, but a lot of strong, cheap drinks were!  It was the mead later that would be my undoing, as I did in fact run out of gas, while watching "Out of Gas".  Life imitates art.

Saturday and Sunday rolled by as they usually do.  Relaxing, a little painting, some dice rolling, and more dancing, this time atToast.  There was an odd crowd there that night.  I watched Gross Point Blank earlier in the night, and it felt to me like I was looking at a high school reunion.  All the kids from twenty years ago, dancing to the same tunes.  I resisted the urge to go looking for my school locker, for fear of short European assassins waylaying me.  After all, I didn't have a pen.

Monday was fine, but I was way off kilter in the evening.  Salsa class kicked my ass.  I started reasonably well, but my second partner was an amazing bitch.  She corrected every move I did, including a correction that was actually wrong.  After a few passes through where I missed a step, she backed away from me and went to dance on her own.  Niiiice attitude.  She did the same with all her other partners that evening.  Later I had a lot of trouble with another girl dancing, and not getting my steps.  The aggrivation carried over into Ceremony, and I could feel another Black Night coming on.  I took a little refuge out in front, then in the back corner.  Sanguineempathy showed me a neat trick with a glow wand, and right about there, my mood clicked over.  Five minutes later I was dancing with my light vambraces, and well into the flow.  I cheered for the wrestlers, chatted with my friends, and turned my mood around 180 degrees.  All with a little nudge from my friends, and a little work from yours truly.

So, yeah.  Good times.  With more fun (to be had) tomorrow, as I go on vacation.  It's all I ever wanted.  And that's enough song references for now.

Glad I Could Help

Hee!

Uncle Rory will always and forever in my mind be played by Bruce Campbell.

That might be one of the best Buffy episodes never filmed. Xander and crew go to visit Uncle Rory in his cabin in the woods... they find lots of taxidermied animals, and a strange, forbidden book.

Klaatu, Verada.... oh crap!

"Well, I didn't know what would happen! I thought there would be songs, and dancing... again."

All we need now is to figure out how to get you some glow stick daggers ;)
I'll stick with my bug antennae :)
