Exceeds expectations

Saturday night was better than I imagined.  I got dressed up to the nines (white dress shirt, my best slacks, understated leather vest, long winter coat), and took the T out to Jamaica Plains.  The night was cool, the stars bright.  A small community center was the setting for a dual birthday party for two best friends.  There were perfomances, there were pastries, there was beer and wine.  People dressed to their nine's, catching up, sharing laughter, dancing on the old hard wool gynmasium floors.  Laughter and mith and celebration enfused the air , you breathed it in with every breath.  I danced my way through to the end of the night, then stopped at a brief after party, then wound up home very late.

Sunday's game also went better than I imagined.  I suspect that overwhelming amounts of stress in other areas were coloring my views on everything. 
I think I had as much fun as the players did, which is sweet.  More sweetness will be had tonight, as I start my first salsa dance class, then stop in to Ceremony for a bit.

My going out tonight depends on whether or not I can get some more percocet for my tooth pain. I just ran out of my perscription and am hurting pretty bad :(
