A long and stressful week is drawing to a close.  There are two small things that are breaking the stress, which means they are not truly small at all.  One is a CD mixed by Photiq, the track from it is a remix of "annie would I like to you?"  It's a song that cuts right through me, snatches my brain, and sets it spinning on the dance floor.  Dancing of late hasn't quite pulled me out of myself in the transcendental way it used to.  Too much worry about staying out late, too much else going on.  The song gave me a reminder of what it feels like to be lost in movement, and so I thank Photiq for that.  I'm sure the rest of the CD will be equally moving.

The second small thing is the green light on my battery charger, telling me the batter for my new digital camera is charged.  I'll be able to experiment with it a few times before this weekend.  I've never had a camera growing up, and never got attached to taking pictures.  Always behind the curve, that's me.  I'm excited now to have a camera for several projects I have, and extremely grateful to the couple who gifted it to me.  I look forward to capturing the souls memories of my friends, and of future good times ahead.

Top of the list.

POPCORN!!

That is all I can think about.
The thoughts of which are consuming me.

Did you want to make pizza?
I have things for such an event.
Of course, that may be too much to handle with the popcorn.

Sure, we can do that. We can make a fixings run if needed.

I'll have a powerful appetite after the gym, that popcorn alone cannot fill!

I love that song. It tore me up the first time I heard it. I think I like the original better than the remix I hear at Ceremony sometimes. Reminds of the front room at Manray. :)

There are like half a dozen remixes of that song-- most of which I don't care for. This one I think really invigorates the original, though, and lends it a bit more passion and urgency. My only complaint is that it's perhaps a minute too long.

Nothing refreshes like the original!

All those good times (and bad) but mostly good times.

Please don't take offense if I turn my back to you when you raise the camera, it's instinct to avoid cameras by this point. :)
I like playing that mix CD when I'm cooking.

I'm glad that you (both) have given it a listen-to. Silas, I think you in particular will enjoy the entire mix, particularly if you listen to the whole thing straight through.

Silentq, I made the mistake of first listening to your mix in my overheated office at 10pm! zzzzzz
On subsequent listenings I've found it soothing and very pleasing (in it's entirety, which I could not attest to after the first try). Thank you!

Oops. :) I had envisioned it as a mix for insomniacs to play to ease them into sleep, the next copy will have more warnings on it. ;)
It was interesting putting it together as a lot of songs that I thought of as quiet would make me a bit anxious when I was listening to them with an ear for inclusion in the mix.

The only time I've heard it straight through is at work, which doesn't do the CD justice. I'll give you a report when I get a chance to just sit back and here it on a proper stereo!

I can't listen to it! The laptop's being fussy with burned cds, and moreso since its little accident the other night *horrified blush*. The darn thing won't fit in my iPod without first passing through the laptop.

I will carefully arrange the shot so all I can see is your hand giving me the Johnny Cash salute! :)

I had it on while sewing a project. The fastest hemming I've ever done was to that song :)
