Another weekend gone and done. The damn thing are far too short.
I spent Saturday at a V:TES tournament, (a card game, not to be confused with Warhammer). I had a few good games but failed to score any points. The card tournaments are more cutthroat than Warhammer, deck building is very important. My problem is I tend to go for themes and neat ideas more than mechancial, "crush your opponent" decks. It's fun to go and play, but it's not fun to get stomped on. I got back from the tournament around 2 in the morning, so going to J-P's party was out.
Anyway, enough about games.
Today I picked up some movies (Dark City and City of Lost Children) and music (Download and Rhea's Obbsession) and tracked down a few more bands online. I may try to pick up some music from Isolation Tank, but most I think I can get locally. Perhaps all of it if I look around a little. But I still want to keep my eye open for some 20 hole boots before I nickel and dime all my income tax return away. I'm happy I can spend it on stuff for myself and don't have to make car payments or pay a stupid ticket or anything.
Perhaps tomorrow I'll talk about why I like to game, why it's such a big part of my life. I have a lot of moves and the like coming up this week at work, but I think they will go quickly.
Last side note for the night: I used my new wok for the first time, and made stir fry with fresh vegetables (instead of frozen). It was quite the difference in taste! Perhaps I will go fresh more often.
I have wallpaper on my computer of a Lego rave; something a friend sent on a list. It's very cute, but it may be time for something else.
I'm tired, but full and content. Perhaps I'll do a reading before I go to sleep, it usually seems the best time for me to do so.
