What doesn't kill us...

While work is still killing my soul, I did solve a couple of "crisis" issues today.
The workout was hard tonight, I didn't think I could make it through my run. Getting back to these lifting/running days is hard work. I made it, though.
Tonight's workout
bench press: 2x10 @175
shoulder press: 2x10 @105
front pull downs: 2x10 @130
dumbbell press: 2x10, 60 lb db
sholder lifts: 2x10 @100
lower rowing: 2x10 @145
dumbbell flies: 2x10, 30 lb db
dumbbell curls: 2x10, 25 lb db
tricep curls: 2x10 @70
side extended dumbell curls: 2x10 @15
then
run 45 minutes (4 miles)
I definitely feel the need for a mental health day coming up, if not a proper vacation. My system for getting things done at work went pretty well. The growing thorn in my side is the system administrator. Information needs to be chiseled out of him at the best of times. Well, if that's what it takes... *grabs chisel*

Date: 2005-09-15 03:35 pm (UTC)Bar lifting!
Date: 2005-09-15 03:39 pm (UTC)30 minutes of dancing to funker vogt/grendel/combichrist
15 minutes of cool down to trip hop/swirly goth.
15 minutes of isolation dancing to breaks/"little computer people"
I'm pretty sure I can lift 200 or more (at least once) but I stick with sets and reps. After seeing a bunch of guys at the gym, I am resolute in my goal never to be That Big. If I do, I won't be able to dance! And a man has to have priorities.

Date: 2005-09-15 05:35 pm (UTC)Hrm, I think it may be time for me to ramp down my flies, as I'm currently doing:
2x15, 27.5lb dumbells
Last time I was doing curls, I was also doing them at that weight/rep, but I think it messed up my elbow a bit, and I've cut the weight way down.
(I would like to be able to chest press more than 60lb though, it seems so useless...)
