I think we've beaten back the mite invasion. Among the many irritating things about such an infestation is, that you swear you can constantly feel them biting you, even when you look and don't see anything. We probably don't even notice the random touches on our skin, but once you suspect insects are about, every little touch turns into something sinister.

The week has been languid and torporous, interspaced with several good nights of dancing and being social at the clubs. I like this new change of events. A far cry from nights spent boucing from room to room, invisible to most everyone. Nowadays, being ignored just lets me know who isn't worth my time.

I think there's room for one more good night of dancing before the weekend hits. Best stock up on the sleep now, then.

Last night it was back to the waking up every 2 hours. The landlords cleaned out the nest, so any mites that are left will be dead up to 3 weeks from now. Not ideal, but the best we can do for now. I think I will ask them to periodically check the vent for more nests, and to remove them when they see them.

Damn!!!!!!! Sounds like you had my night of sleep, but I can't find the source of my numerous wakings. Having to constantly wonder when the next invasion comes has got to be nerve buzzing. Um, the only thing that I could even suggest is getting some Diazanon, can be found anywhere. At least you know you have done what you can to end their blood sucking lives. It works wonders, everything from fleas to spiders. Had to buy it in bulk in Louisiana, even kept the scorpians at bay. I still find myself shaking my shoes out before I put them on, even though I have been here almost a year.

You have scorpions in Louisiana? The wierd thing about my constant wakings is that I feel fairly well rested during the day, despite the lack of solid sleep. I'll look into the Diazanon,

Yeppers, we sure did. It was funny, we called the "local" (on the military post) exterminators who tried to tell us that the damn things were not supposed to be there. We finally called the ones in town and the men there were suprised that we did not see them more. They were small and annoying little buggers, but cute.

At least you are feeling well rested, it would be bothersome if you always felt tired. Good for you on that one.
