Yesterday was the third day of a very trying week, and I almost bagged on my gaming group for the night.  I would have missed a very good night.  Lots of action, and a random encounter that could have Chau Chescu'ed  our group (in-joke for my DND homies) but became a very tense, exciting bit of role playing (kudos to the ST and Nepenthe!)  In television terms, this was the episode that our plot really picked up and moved the story forward.

One of the things that I always loved doing, and was passionated about, was running a game.  Creating characters, plots, narrating the action.  I haven't done so for a while, and things have been a little off kilter.  I've tried to distance myself from some hobbies, and just ended up feeling adrift and lost.  Exposure to new things is a good thing, but so is luxuriating in what you love to do.  There's no point in denying it, I love storytelling.  Soon I'll be taking a turn running.  I might even run a second game, time and players permitting.
I think that will add a soft, velvet pillow to my bed that is life.

Despite having danced and reveled a bit, I'm not that tired at work today.  I think there's a moral here.

I think you are going to be an awesome storyteller. Your character in this game is one of the most interesting things about the game.

Many thanks! I've started reading the Exalted rules. Ideas are percolating...
