In the medic's tent

Any mission you can crawl away from...

The objective was taken, but I don't know how long it will be held. Fatigue and anger took their toll, and some wounds were dealt by friendly fire. I'm lying in the medical tent now. The doc says he's seen a lot worse and I should consider myself lucky. I get a night of good rest before they turn me out in the morning. I can smell the food in the next room, hear the laughter of my mates while they eat and swap stories. In a while I'll join them.

The battle begins again tomorrow (but the war metaphors will stop).

I'm currently still stuck in the trenches of "Holy shit I guess I *have* been slacking off lately". If I raise my head I'll be barraged by the tons of junk I've managed to accumulate in the 9 months that I have lived here and now must pack. But I'm hoping for the best, there's an armistace scheduled for friday :)

Maybe I'll brush up on my WWI history then, and use those metaphors when I'm talking about work. If I need to vent, I can at least do so in an entertaining fashion!

Remember to keep your helmet on and gas mask near during the barrage. Keep an eye open for mines, and you'll make it through.

After the armistace, you can celebrate Victory over Finals day!

no roleplaying involved, this was a couple of bad days.

I'm still in "recovery" phase. Body is healing, now for the head. Give me another day or two, and I should be back to normal.
