jchrisobrienAhhh... at last a return to the journal. It's almost quiet at my office, most of the programmers have retreated for the day, it's just me and Switchblade Symphony.
Saturday I took overall winner at the Warhammer Tournament in New Hampshire. Excellent scores on painting, composition, and knowledge, two wins and one loss. A boy could get used to this...
Then out again for the EuroTrash party. Perhaps Eurotrashed would be a closer title, as that is what we were. The house was beautiful, I was over for Christmas dinner so I wasn't completely overwhelmed by it, but it was still lovely. Not a bad time socially either, although I did find myself wandering a bit near the end, perhaps looking too hard. And I managed to stay awake the entire time, which cannot be said for everyone there.
Sunday was a long day of recouperating, and a relearning of why I hate IHOP. After waiting for half an hour, we were rushed to our seats, where we had to wait another 10 minutes before our menus arrived. Poor service, poor food, expnsive food... I think I'll pass on IHOP in the future, especially during the busy Sunday brunch seasion.
I appeased my stomach later in the day by going to the North End for some tortellini before Clay's performace. It was soooo good, I should propose a small dinner expedition sometime very soon. It might have to wait until March, as the rest of February seems spoken for.
Third Grade Trick (my roomie's comedy troup) put on a very funny show. Clay (the roomie) was brilliant both as a straight man and a comic. And his Hall and Oates song during the Prison Sex Medley was... inspired. From where I cannot say.
As I crane my next around, I see it's about time to leave. To sum up the last few days in brief, perhaps to return to them later,
Monday: Hannibal was a worthy sequal, go see it.
Tuesday: Work kicked my ass, but Buffy made it all better.
Wednesday: V-Day is just another day to dance.
