Taking your breath away

I love the power of music. The rush of emotion surging through your body like a hurricane when a chorus of notes converge that causes a physical reaction in your body. It's a possession. I try to sing along and the breath leaves my body and it's all I can do not to weep.
The song that's doing it to me right now is Center of the Sun by Conjure One.
What song does that do you?

Date: 2004-01-07 07:44 am (UTC)I've been listening to that Conjure One album all week. The instrumental tracks tie into the mystical state I've been exploring and I feel transported.
"Make a wish," "Center of the Sun" and "Sleep" keep taking my breath away, twining themselves into me.
"Blurry" by Puddle of Mudd often affects me that way. "Crazy," by Seal. I have several anthems that just get right inside me.

Date: 2004-01-07 02:35 pm (UTC)A Look Into Your Heart - Wolfsheim (really, just the point after "Have you ever thought of me" when you hear a woman's voice scream in utter frustration, before "Turned around, let life go on.") Why? Reasons you might be able to guess.
Silence - Sarah McLachlan (especially, the very last line, "I am free") Why? Reasons you might be able to guess.
Wallflower - Switchblade Symphony (the line "Let me grow") Why? Reasons you might be able to guess.

Date: 2004-01-07 04:23 pm (UTC)those songs that are about two people who were made from the same source always get me like that.
