This so needs to become an ongoing series.

yeah, I was happily impressed and hope they will create a series. That seemed like the intent, the way they ended it. I loved the female Starbuck. There was still a lot of room for improvement (there were some serious continuity issues, small details but that stuff bugs the hell out of me) but it has some real potential.

I don't entirely buy the sexy cylon plotline and her being in Gaius' head is such a Farscape ripoff, but the characters were interesting and much of the acting was high quality, so I can suspend judgment a little there. But what I really want to know is where's Moffit?

What were the continuity issues?

Since they had Baltar set up as a swinging, sexy scientist, it was the best way to get to him. He was such an unbelievable tool giving her access to the defense computer servers. I suppose if you are going to create Cylon models to infiltrate human society, a logical choice would be the sex bot. The other choices were interesting models as well: arms dealer, public relations, raptor pilot (nooooooooooooooooooooooo)

Poor Boomer, I hope that she is still human and can rebel against her programming.

The continuity issues were very trivial--things like somebody putting down their clipboard while talking to somebody and then walking away without it, or badly cut shots so that a person is facing the wrong direction when the camera cuts back to them for their half of a conversation. It's trivial stuff, but it really annoys me. I should seriously work in Hollywood as a continuity girl, except everybody would hate me.

The sex bot makes a kind of sense, but that doesn't stop it from being kinda tacky :) She reminded me of Courtney Love in her glam doll phase. I did like her kind of mystical thing going on--it will be interesting to find out more about Cylon religion if the show goes on.

Yeah, that was actually pretty heart-rending when you learned it was Boomer. Maybe her friendship and affinity with the little boy will help her...

You and Clay would be very good at that. When they complain, just tell them that you're just trying to make them look good. :)

I didn't want to think the Cylon was hot, but I couldn't helpt myself. Maybe that fact that she was a merciless killing machine helped. Or the fact that she seemed put out when Balthar spurned her advanced.

What is the story with the Cylon humans? Are they human beings with computers in their heads, or actualy synthetic beings? Only time and good fortune will tell...

Baltar says something about them being completely synthetic. It is implied that you can look at the basic proteins and tell that they are fake. This is a difficult test, and takes too long to be practical.

As the next chapters are not written as there is no contract for more; it is impossible to predict what direction they will take their story.

Urge to predict rising.

Bah.
