jchrisobrien: (big trouble!)

I'm falling into the last half hour of the day. There was some drag time, but not as much as Monday, thanks to conversation with the mighty Eeyrg. There will soon be a nice drive home in the sunset, against the wall of traffic heading the other way. If it weren't for the fact that most of the time I'm ready to fall asleep and crash into people, I'd love my commute. And it's only going to get shorter in the future.

If you had to choose between dreams of fooling around with your friends, and working on airplanes that end up crashing and burning, which would you pick?

There's a lot of turmoil going on as the season's change. I am brushed by these events, but not truly touched. I've felt the haze of autumn in me though. Not quite a lethargy, but a slow lingering dissatisfaction. A stagnation, which isn't inappropriate to feel at this time of year. Winter is coming up soon, and if I end up hibernating I want it to be in a warm cave with fire and blankets and mulled wine, not a cold, dark ice filled hole. Despite what I might have thought in the past, I can choose which of these destination is mine.

This coincides interestingly with my horoscope today:
If you enjoy tormenting yourself with fantasies of bad things that might happen in the future, surf over to the "Dante's Inferno Test" website. There you can get a prediction about what level of hell you'll be exiled to after you die. If, on the other hand, you're finally ready to shed your perverse attraction to doom and gloom -- and my astrological analysis says you are -- then zealously avoid entertaining yourself with fear and anxiety. Instead, use all your ingenuity to track down fascinating encounters with boom and zoom.

Depends which friends. Many times, the two sorts of dreams can amount to just the same thing.
