I don't remember most of the details of it, but I was practicing telekinesis. I'd throw a piece of paper up in air, and as it fell I'd gesture and hurl it back in the air with my mind. My teacher (either a wizard or a mutant ala X-men) told me that hand gestures were useful at first, but I'd grow beyond it eventually. It was hard going at first, but eventually I was able to pick the paper up and dash it all over the place. With the power of my mind.

Telekinesis is too damn cool.

Sand? Obviously they will need to reinforce that with some telekinesis... that's where I'd come in handy.
