If you go to CNN's home page, you will find an article where North Korea boasts it would win a nuclear war against the U.S.
Once you stop shaking your head at their little ego trip, you can read further down where it states they have "dismissed weapons inspectors, pulled out of the international nuclear anti-proliferation treaty and restarted its nuclear facilities. "

So. Both Iraq and North Korea have both broken treaties and agreements. Why shouldn't we be doing something about this? At what point is a military solution viable?

And if I recall correctly, the U.S. also pulled out of the anti-proliferation treaty, as well as several other treaties. Shouldn't someone be smacking us down?

because, quite simply as we all know, it's not about weapons of mass destruction and never has been. that is simply the pretense.
9-11 provided bush and company with the understanding that war is good for them politically and W has been wanting to avenge daddy for years and getting all that oil would sure be great, too.

It sure would.

Because we have weapons inspectors in Iraq now, then Saddam is back to keeping with the terms of the treaty. Therefore, we shouldn't go to war.

If the rallies that occurred this weekend tell us anything, it's that Bush won't have the support he needs to avenge his daddy any time soon.

Absolutely. Conveniently, no one has the cojones to try it.

I was rather hoping they would. That the U.N. especially would step in and say "if you go to war with Iraq w/out our approval, we will side with Iraq." Or something similar.

The U.N. is a joke, becuase it seldom if ever DOES anything. For a global peacekeeping force to work, it has to be able to go in and have an effect. Which means all the countries in it have to step up and do their part.

The U.S. may be the last superpower in the world, but it has to play by the rules. So do the other countries.
