April and May swapped.
May. 7th, 2012 02:43 pmSo, I'm a week behind. I met a girl from OKCupid for a date, she was into Joss Whedon stuff, martial arts, and travel. Xmortis was moved to April, and that was a good fun time. Myn held a birthday PJ brunch, and that led to more mimosas and eggs and delicious bacon. There was an aborted attempt to watch a dance performance in Central which failed after half an hour of trying to find parking. The revelry continued until well into the night for a birthday/post-dance party at Quang's. Sunday our DND group made progress on getting out of a demon-infested city.
The rest of the week was a long slog: difficult problems at work, not enough time to work out,the date failed to pan out. This weekend was mostly dominated by meeting some out of town friends for ETC practice. I got four games of Warhammer in (winning two, and drawing two). There was a mid day break for the Avengers. It's a fabulous movie, which deserves it's own entry. I discovered that I lost my phone after the movie, but a lovely woman found and turned it in just before I arrived. If there was a low point in the weekend it was the party Saturday night. I was confounded by a crush, and had a bit too much to drink. Two hours of Rock Band and another drink or two actually helped sort matters out. Crushes are fine, but you have to learn to draw the line on what's feasible, and what's not.
