Friday Past: I had dinner and tea with a lovely lady I met on OKCupid. She was Chinese, into rock climbing, tae kwon do, and Joss Whedon shows. We have a good conversation during dinner, though things were a little awkward at tea. First time meeting jitters, and all that, I'm sure some of you remember that feeling. It's been three days since I've checked in (on Monday) but no word back. So it goes, so it goes.

Saturday Past: The Worcester Art Museum is a beautiful place, and I was lucky to see two of my friends get married here The food and drinks were wonderful, the company was a wonderful cross of formal and anarchistic. Girls with green hair in fancy dresses, gentlemen with elaborate goatees and pin striped suits. There were moments I thought I was in a Shadowrun game, but that might be the mudslides talking. I got another compliment from a random girl about my pink shirt, so I will have to rock that at more functions. I made my way from the wedding to team up with Michael and Tricia for a big party out in Somerville.

I'll tell you what, it's a lot more fun going to a Big Party and not losing your walled halfway through the night. I had much more fun than I did last year. Much of the evening blended together in sensory over load. There was a lot of dancing and drinking, observing and talking. I think I missed a few key glances that could have led somewhere, and was dragged through several rooms by someone, who then got distracted. Curse these kids and their ADD. All in all it was a very good night, and I look forward to more nights like them.

Sunday was largely given over to Community. I've worked my way through two seasons and liked it, but the third season is not working for me. I'm only 3 episodes in, so I'm hoping that things will get better. It was a brilliant show, but I can see it having problems. It's harder to evolve a character in a sit-com than in a drama, but there characters are becoming too aware that they are characters. It's meta in a bad way.

I picked up the Cabin in the Woods Visual Companion, which is a very slick looking book. It has the screenplay for the movie, and tons of anecdotes and back stage information. There are scenes and dialog which didn't make it in the movie. There's a lot of attention to the creatures in the movie too. The move itself is a lot of fun, and I strongly recommend seeing it. Apparently the Avengers is also going to be off the hook.

Overall, things have been fine since starting the medication, but this week? This week was unacceptable. Tired and angry most of the time, facing a lot of problems at work that I couldn't solve. Normally, that would lead to a downward spiral of self pummeling, but it didn't, I was just angry. Kudos for that. I made it through game on Tuesday fine. I decided to pass on Temple only because I have a massage, a club night, and a friend's dance show coming up this weekend. Today I kind of lost the plot getting ready for worked. I sorted it out, and then grabbed some lunch and a bottle of wine, which I've been nursing for most of the day. Things are pretty chill at this point, and the massage coming up will be worth every penny. The moral of this story is: sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to chill the hell out. I'm looking forward to one fun as hell time this weekend. Arabian dance nights, bacon breakfasts in pajamas, sexy dancing and birthday parties, and good old fashioned DND and GoT. Can I get a "It is known?"
