I think there was a dusting of snow this weekend, not the two to six inches we were warned of. I'm OK with that.

TempleCon was a mixed bag this year. Friday night was full of fun and frolic, playing board games with my tournament buddies and drinking. Sleep was atrocious due to snoring, but briely humorous when our floor crasher tried to use Ragnar's army box as a pillow. Saturday's even was a disappointing 1-2, with my mood really going south in the last game. It required a sushi dinner AND a scorpion bowl on my own to recover. I crashed on the early side, not in the mood for parties. The snoring was so world-breaking I left the room for a while, and talked to Tony and Emiko outside our door. Ben stumbled in and joined us later. We passed around some Scotch, then I took another shot at bed at six. A loss and a win on day two ended the Con for me. I headed home quickly and crashed out, feeling sick for a few days after.

Friday night I hung out with Christy to finish Firefly and have sushi. She left around midnight, and I decided I was too tired for Xmortis. Saturday Lauren came over for appetizer dinner and Clone High, by the time we finished it was too late to travel to Hideki's party. Another early night. Sunday I overcame interia and a bleak mood to journey to the Fetish Flea on my own. I bought another pair of pants from Le Chateau (same kind as last year with different accents) and a few odds and ends. I made a pit stop on the way home to get some vintage miniatures from a club mate, then rounded out the day with groceries, Battle: Los Angelos, and Sucker Punch. Both were better than expected.

Tonight's plans are up in the air. I'm not particularly looking forward to the rest of the week.
