Digging My Way Out
Dec. 21st, 2010 03:43 pmLast weekend started off what a cozy Friday night at home for the early part of the night, before walking over to Chris' house for my ex-girlfriend's (his current) birthday party. There were attempts to watch Dr. Who (which failed) and a porn parody (which failed horribly) and Kung Fu Panda (which succeeded). I met Sruthie, a cute Indian girl who liked movie Orgasmo, and had lots of hugs and conversations with the member of my fire family. I had some great talks with my cousin too. The best part of the night is being able to walk home without worrying about how much I drank (which wasn't even that much.)
Saturday night was a call back to the night before, except with more awesome. The housewarming party had a theme of ball shaped food. There were meatballs, various pastries, rice balls, meatballs wrapped in BACON, and grapes and other round fruit. Major props to the person who brought the HUGE bottle of Kraken rum. There were textured shirts, and talking to brand new people, and makeshift Twister played with tape and a knife for a spinner. I left a few hours after shirtless o'clock, on a high note.
Sunday was a day of pure laziness, up until I went to see Tron Legacy. The waiting in line was almost painful, but the sushi I smuggled in helped. I don't have much to say that you probably haven't heard before: The visuals are top notch, the story was pretty weak. I have more comments, but I want to see the original again before I get into it. Basically, this could have been an epic movie if the story matched the visuals. That said, I still enjoyed the visuals.
Work slows down as we closer to Christmas. Today is the Longest Night. It only gets brighter from here.
