Count your blessings
Nov. 30th, 2009 03:35 pmThanksgiving was smaller this year, but no less awesome for that. The turkey was I think my best yet, I didn't carve the breast as much as push the meat from the bone. I shared Kung Fu Panda with a number of folks who haven't seen it yet, then turned it up a notch with liberal libations and rocking out with my friends. This I am thankful for.
Friday I spent a lot of time shopping for hobby supplies, more than I'd have liked to. That evening I went to a small party to help cheer up a friend who's suffered a loss in the family. A low key but fun evening, cuddled between two lovely ladies for a spell. Such times are rare, but shouldn't be. This I am thankful for.
Saturday was a mostly lazy day, but I finished the last of my hobby shopping and assembled most of my newly acquired figures. I caught up on my Netflix queue with Quarantine, Night Watch, and Day Watch. Everyone needs downtime. This too, I am thankful for.
Sunday was more assembly time, Crossfit training, and an epic ending to our pirate DND game. I'll miss the adventures of the crew of the Black Six, but at least we ending the game slaying a dragon one thousand feet in the air, instead of floating through an endless void for all eternity. For this, I am thankful.
