Chemicals, man.
Feb. 3rd, 2009 03:07 pmI ran the 5k last night. Our route took us down Summer St. in Somerville, then to Central, Medford, Broadway, Cedar, and the bike path back to the Burren. Afterwards there was victory food, then I changed and drove out Ceremony. I still wasn't feeling it, and despite a very encouraging reading from Sara (another one, it's becoming a trend) my night was way off.
The disquiet continued all through the morning, my brain coiling up like a rattlesnake. It took lunch and something like half a gallon of water to let the rattlesnake go. My breakfast cereal is suspect, I changed to something sweeter since my preferred cereal was out of stock. I'm willing to bet the sugar or dye in it is provoking a very negative response. Further research will occur tomorrow, when I change back to my regular breakfast.
Man, that was an unpleasant forty eight hours. I'm glad I'm on the other side of it.
Other things to be happy for: my state tax return deposited in my bank, my blu-ray disks and remote from Amazon, sirendipity, mesatchornug.
