In the dark sky there are bright stars
Feb. 2nd, 2009 04:35 pmFriday night I got all dolled up, but I ended up in Salem instead of Cambridge, for a Rock Band party. The scoring system was a little obtuse, but the main goal was playing the game and drinking. Both goals were pleasantly met. Saturday was largely taken up by a delicious Chinese dinner, with good friends and conversations. Sunday, on the other hand, was largely a downer. I attended a tango class with Tisana, the instructors were fun but most of the students weren't. My mood plummeted for the rest of the day (mostly likely because by nine o'clock I'd only had a burrito and a strawberry sundae for food. Real smart, Silas).
One sushi dinner and a movie later, and things seemed OK. Today hasn't been any better on the mood front, and this time I can't blame it on my diet (or lack thereof). Tonight I may (off all things) run a 5k with a friend of mine for her birthday in lieu of spin jam. Spin Jam itself may be on hiatus for few months. It's more often a source of frustration than of education for me as of late. DWT may or may not happen, depending on how I feel after my run.
