Night of the Dolls: an excellent time at the club. I stood in for Sara at the pool tables, and managed to do a decent job. Enjoyed the performance, danced a bit (despite the crowds). The tenor of the night was just right, but I suffered from an upset stomach later. Beware too much grease late at night!
Saturday: awoke strangely early, cleaned the house a bit and made my way down to Providence. Won a test game with my army for the upcoming tournament, but didn't have enough time (or energy) to get in a second game. A long way to travel for one game, but worth it to see the Providence crew. Back up to Boston in time a delicious birthday diner at Ole in Inman Sq. It's a great place to go for a birthday, a date, or if you're looking for a date *grins*. Spent some time relaxing and digesting at the birthday boy's house, then back on the road for a party with the fire spinning crew.
The destination was an old Victorian brownstone on Mass Ave, and it was gorgeous. So much space, such history in the decor, and such lovely people. Through means unknown to even myself, I endured for several hours and finally made it home to sleep. Another great weekend day.
Sunday I dusted the snow off the old Silver Bullet, and made my way to our pirate game. Startling secrets were uncovered, lots of shopping occurred, and investigations led to an annoying assassin sent after little old me! It was touch and go, but we drove him off... for now *insert ominous music here*
The exuberance of the weekend led to a lack of early bedtime, and so I sleep-walked through the day (but did make it to work on time). Whether I can get out of the driveway and to poi practice or food shopping remains to be seen. Luckily, the day is soon over.
Somehow I've completely managed to fill my week with things to do. How curious!
