food and friends and photos
Oct. 17th, 2006 04:07 pmThe new recipie I tried last night (new orleans style red beans and rice and sausage) was a success. I'll have two more tasty lunches to look forward too. It didn't put me to sleep, either. In fact, despite a late night conversation with my roommate and getting up early, I haven't been excessivly tired all day.
I used to give theamazingjb grief because she was too busy to hang out, until I sat down recently and realize that I too am too busy to hang out. The rest of my week and weekend is pretty booked.
Last weekend the dice treated me rough. My social "battles" were much more enjoyable. It's scary how much of the Electric Company I remembered from my childhood. What I didn't remember was how cool Morgan Freeman was. One of the nicest parts of the weekend was going through a friend's old photos. A room full of people looking over each other's shoulders, staring at ten years worth of memories. We laughed at old haircuts and "spacy" faces. We marked the introduction of new members to the group. We say old relationships and sighed at how things had changed. It was a great way to end the night. Much better than getting a ticket, which the policeman who pulled us over was kind enough not to give us.
Missing license plate light? I'll get right on that, officer.
