every vacation must end

the holiday weekend ended a little later for me than most. I took today off to have some downtime on my vacation, which was filled with parties and moving and good times. Took care of laundry, cleaned my desk, picked up some new books to read. While looking through Newberry Comics, I realized that I recognized... about nothing in the new music category. Have I hit that point? Have I lost track of what's going on in the realm of music, where I don't even know what is hip or what to hate? I calmed myself by looking through some compilation and seeing familiar names. Tracked down a few band names from people's play lists (grendel was in stock, rotorsand wasn't, neither was implant or teminal sekt) The techno section is still a mystery to me.
I'll have to do some serious research before I make any new purchases.

There are plans afoot for the weekend already, which is good. Back to the grind tomorrow. I'm trying not to think of it as the grind, but that too will take some work.

To end on a good note: lunches are made for the week, Powers:Legends is a great graphic novel, and I'm up to running 4 miles at the gym.
