Can't stop the signal
May. 9th, 2005 12:00 pmThe Serenity screening on Thursday was... amazing. I was very happy to see that the movie existed at all. In essence, someone's pet project has become a major motion picture, due to crazy good DVD sales and fan support. With a little luck, the movie will be a modest hit and sequels will be made. I don't think the show will ever return to television due to contract constraints, so if this is our last little taste of life in the Verse, best enjoy it all the more.
I'm not going to discuss the movie itself here, but I'll discuss it over e-mail or a pint. I will reccommed highly that you see it.
Friday I danced a little less and socialized a little more. The music was a little underwhelming, but in the end the night felt good. Saturday's gray (which extended to Sunday) made the whole weekend feel low key. There were small social gatherings here and there, both constructive and purely fun.
I would appreciate the ability to wake up and be fully mobile on a Monday morning, instead of feeling like death for the first half of the day.
