jchrisobrien: (getting ready)
This was really a three day weekend for me.  The third day of the weekend was spent in the office, which made it less restful that most.  How can this be?
Find out in a few hours, when I get home and finish running!

Okay, here we go. Friday's awesomeness was already discussed. Saturday was spent in the bowels of Manray, hauling heavy boxes and risking my health by cleaning up the dressing room. Despite predictions, there were no bags of moldy food found. We did find the rusty remains of the old spider web that spanned the two poles in the back room, many years ago. Ah the feelings of nostalgia as I gazed upon the chain, remembering my arms linked through the metal, looking down at the dance floor. My reverie was interrupted by a cloud of rusty dust as we moved the chains. Mmm, the taste of rust.

Saturday night there was a party. It was fun.

Sunday was spent sleeping on and off, watching Kung Fu Shuffle with tegin and heatray, and defending my position in our ladder league.

Monday I was a zombie. No other words for it. My reflexes were pretty good, but there was a fog in my brain and I just. Couldn't. Think. At one point I think I feel asleep with my eyes open. Most unsettling. Hence the whole three day weekend thing, because while I certainly got work done I felt like I slept through the day. I polished off the day with Dip and Strongbow and an mini-Buffy marathon with Tegin.

Tuesday I learned two things: I still jump to conclusions and worry about things that aren't really problems. A good long run is a wonderful way to brush the aggrivation from your mind. Soy ice cream almost tastes as good as regular ice cream. Ben and Jerry's have Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream now, so I'm about to put on about fifteen pounds. Dammit.

You know what? That's four things I learned. This is why I have a degree in English.
