Carousing and Gaming and Cleaning, oh my!
Mar. 21st, 2004 11:00 pmFriday was a whirlwind of parties: A St. Patrick’s Day party at work with fine food and free wine. A Red Party with comfy companions, more wine, and a very elegant house. A Pajama party with furious dancing, even more drinks (but not as many as last week) and a certain person making a full and contrite retraction of her comments from the weeks before.
Saturday was devoted to gaming: a tournament in Harvard Sq. where the losses were more entertaining than the wins, and a fine bowl of soup was had at Pho Pasteur's. Racing back home to run a very fulfilling game of Mage, heavy on the drama with a dash of combat and a moderately tasty sirloin tips dinner. One of the more interesting points of the day was explaining my army to a curious passerby in the Davis T station.
Sunday was all about the relaxation. House cleaning, always a Zen experience for me. I restocked my paint box, replacing the old dried up pots and breaking out the paint brushes again for the first time in months. Painting, another Zen experience for me. All in all, I think it's a great way to be starting off the week. Lunch is in the fridge, the smell of teriyaki chicken filling the kitchen. The bag is packed for a quick jaunt to the gym before work.
And the bed? The bed is calling.
