Holy crap!

I've heard this new band at ManRay which sounds like VNV Nation, but in a good way. I tried to remember some of the lyrics, and tracked it down on the Interweb. The song is called forever, by a band called bruderschaft. Now I know why it sounded familiar.

The vocals are done by Ronan Harris and Stephan Groth (VNV Nation and Apoptygma Berzerk), Joakim Montelius from Covenant does the programming, and Sebastian Komor from Icon of Coil does the music. The CD is the one song, remixed about a dozen times, and all net profits will be donated to charity for cancer research and treatment.

It's the epitome of synth-pop, but good synth-pop.

The song is damn awesome, and I will not be downloading it.

The future

This question is poised mostly for my DJ friends, but any music fan can throw in their input.

Where do you see the goth/industrial/synthpop scene progressing to?
Is there a genre you see rising in popularity?

Name one band that deserves to be played more. I'm always up for expanding my musical library.

The last few CD's I've picked up lately have been from DJ Micro, Christopher Lawrence, and Hybrid. I also got the new Velvet Acid Christ (quite liked it), Haujobb (so-so), and Decoded Feedback (quite liked it).
