Friday night was a kick ass mage game: a suspenseful van wreck, an intense conversation over omelettes and bloody marys, and a deadly fight in a morgue. It was very fulfilling to run, I'm looking forward to the next game.

Saturday was a lot of waiting around, until the trip out to Springfield for the rave. The music was mediocre, the crowd was very young and sketchy. This was the first time I really noticed how fucked up everyone was there. We left early, and I actually stayed up during the trip home for good conversation with Heatray and Indecenthamtard.

Sunday was a lot of sleep, and some good laughs while we worked on new characters for our DND campaign.

Monday was work, and I got to help fight crime. After M and I watched Ultraviolet, we heard squealing tires and a crash. We looked outside and saw 2 guys kicking a car and hitting the window. I called the police. Ten minutes later the police showed up. Apparently 2 of our neighbors also called the police. There were 3 cruises and a tow truck. It seems that our neighbor had some try to break into their car too. I was really nervous for a while, but I'm mostly over it now. Hopefully no one wants anything from my Esteem. I may just leave the doors unlocked now. It's not like I keep anything in my car, if they want my broken CD player they can have it.

This is lacking in detail, but you'll get enough of that later. It's late, and I can wax eloquent tomorrow while I'm waiting for a hard drive to format.

I have been plagued with email going to silas7@erols.com. I don't remember ever having that address, and was getting irked by all the spam coming in.

I decided to take a look at my settings in web mail, and checked out the user tools. Under the advanced options of strict email usage, there was a list of three addresses I could receive e-mail at. the @erols.com account was one of them. By selecting deliver messages ONLY to silas7@rcn.com, I am hoping to weed out all the pharmacy e-mails and other crap that I'm getting.

I'll know for sure when I check my mail tomorrow morning.
If someone can point me to a conservative website or online paper that doesn't sound shrill, imperialistic, or like the world is about to drown in a sea of liberal debauchery unless we go out and conquer the whole damn world, please let me know.

I'm serious. I don't see myself as a tree hugger or anything, but it's hard to read some of these websites w/out wanting to throttle the writer.

Awhile ago I started writing some journal entries, a series of scenes inspired by the VNV Nation album Futureperfect. I envisioned a story told by the songs. I was going to run it as a Mage game first, then work on it as a story. The more I worked on it, the more derivative I thought it was, and the more I pressured myself not to write it.

Rather than try to work out the rest of the story right now, I've decided to summarize what each song was about, and display the entire story. I may go back and flesh it out later, but for now, here's FuturePerfect )
