Sandwiched
Nov. 25th, 2002 02:08 amThe weekend rolled by in fits and starts. Highly social, yet quiet too. Long trains rides with the Crystal Method as my soundtrack. Filipino lunches and comic books on sale (my Stormwatch set is complete, at least the ones the really matter to me). A surprise phone call, which lead to a surprise dinner and help desk session. It's good to see the old troubleshooting skills are in place, if my terminology is a little rusty. Parking near South Station, wandering the derelict construction sites around South Station until finally finding the apartment. A mammoth, spooky elevator ride up to the party, and the spacious beautiful interior.
Right about then the tiredness set in, so I mostly watched and talked here and there. I was witness to the awful footage of ManRay on Chronicle, and moaned with the rest of the room. There was a nice mix of people, and next time I hope to have a little more energy.
Today was a waste. Except for flirting with death again in DND, and finishing more corsairs. They are turning out to be really beautiful. I should take a bunch of pictures and host them somewhere, I've had some generous offers in the past for this, and if I talk about painting so much, you might be interested in what I've done...
And as a side note, I will never, ever, order the clam strips plate again. UGH!
Now for a little sleep, before I venture out to talk to the folks at Tek Systems... then back onto a real workout routine again, and more painting.
