Nothing new here.
The vast majority of my gaming experience this weekend was bad. I was late to my warhammer finals for stupid reasons. When I get there, I proceed to lose the game in a catastrophically bad way. By turn 2 I've thrown my hands up in disgust, packed up, and left. It too me longer to drive there and back than to play. Sunday I arrived late (again!) to 40k, and due to time constraints late in the day, couldn't play. I proceed over to DnD, and spend the better part of the game asleep (courtesy of a poisoned dart). Once I'm revived, I have little interest left in playing. And one of the party members is becoming highly annoying. To the point where the party had to sandbag him to get him to do something.
So as I've said before, my hobbies are growing more frustrating, not providing me with the level of fun I want. Other matters are also frustrating. The theme is similar: I don't like it, but I don't know what else to do. Quitting the hobbies is too drastic a step. But a break from them would work. Thing is, I can't tear myself away from them. I'm drawn back and back to the things that are pissing me off.
The other solution is right there: don't get pissed. Relax. It's just a game. Stifle that knee jerk response that says Its NOT just a game...
There they are: the answers to my problems. Staring back at me. I just need to act. To do something about them.
Yep, there they are.
Just have to do something.
Yep.
Any minute now...
