An interesting night at the old ManRay.
The skeeze factor was down, the overall age factor was up. One of these is not the norm. The music was pretty impressive: a collection of old and new "industrial" hits, incluing some old gems you just don't hear anymore. I alternated between red bull based drinks and mongolian motherfuckers, and somehow stayed energetic through the night. There were some amazing looking people there. But alas, my macking skills were not put to the test. Just simple observances. When in doubt, dance. The techno room was surprisingly above par. Either my tolerance for it is improving, or their overall spinning is. And may I just add, can we have a little less of the faux lesbian action? You can tell when you've become jaded when the sight of women in latex and pvc grinding togethe becomes.... annoying. And the performances? Every thrid song they were ushering us off the stage. Then we had to wait three songs, and then the performanc began. Let's just say they were not worth my lost time dancing. Bastards!
Still, it was nice to talk to people I don't normally get a chance to: Gwen, James, Industrial Steve. Jen (who managed to make a mohawk look good) Gauri, and Liz.

Well, let's see what the rest of the weekend brings. I think itwill be less interesting that tonight... or will it?
