I know you're going to see it (unless you have absolutely no interest in fantasy), but really, I mean, SEE it.

Breath taking, epic, exhausting, touching.

Incredible.

it's that good.

btw, someone mentioned at the theater that the wiseasses in the crew slipped in some action figures in random scenes and jackson didn't see them when they were cutting the film. there was too much going on and too many pretty things to look at. i didn't spot any if they're in the movie.

Saw it this afternoon. I greatly enjoyed the movie (and almost attacked the people in the lobby saying "Well, in the books this doesn't happen until later and this goes earlier and wah, wah, wah I'm a fucking geekstick" but probably not as much as the first film. Some of the plot points just seemed to come out of nowhere. Not to say I'm not salivating at the prospect of the next one, but something about this installment left me slightly cold.

Badass fight sequences, though.
And dwarf throwing is always good comedy.
