that's not what i've heard...i've heard that the US is backing down on the rhetoric in the UN. at least that's what the russians and the french are saying.
i think alot of the sabre-rattling was (is) to scare the shit out of saddam and his upper-level cronies...so that, hopefully, someone might decide a coup is better than an invasion.
also, supposedly, the US has been in talks with jordan floating the idea that a post-saddam iraq could be combined with jordan...very interesting, indeed.
