Instead of spending $150 dollars for a new top for clubbing, I bought a $17 dollar CD instead. Failure, by Assmeblage 23. Verrrrrry good.

The top was interesting and I liked it (lots of leather and straps) but it didn't quite fit right, and if I'm going to sink that much into a shirt it better be just right. I was rather pissed leaving Hubba Hubba actually. I saw all of two shirts that looked like guys could wear them. Hey, girls look better in shiny things than guys do, granted, but what if I want to wear something besides a T-shirt when I go dancing? Where's my stylin' gear, eh?

Daniel Meier returns to ManRay tonight for more industrial goodness. I anticipate a kick ass night of dancing.

Another sublime moment walking across the bridge from work today. I have to admit, I don't give spring enough credit. It's no fall by any means, but it's really damn nice. Moments like that I want to weave into a blanket, wrap them around me, and turn off my alarm clock.

I really, really, want to do my earlier idea I talked about: get a small group of people, maybe some wine, and go out to the country and watch the stars.

Magnificent.

Interesting. The front looked something like a tank top, two straps going over my shoulders, with some interesting leather patterns and buckles on the front. The back was completely open, just a bunch of straps to cinch it tight around you.

The problem being, was that I couldn't get it firmly fastened to my back, as it was already on the last set of notches. Sure, I could punch more holes in it, but Hell! You'd think for that much money it would be a perfect fit.

Shopping for cool clothes for guys is not that easy. And Hubba Hubba is uberinflated pricewise. I'd like to travel down to Providence sometime, I hear there's a fetish style shop down there. Miko maybe? Either that or go to St. Marks in NYC. Which I'm strongly considering as a road trip some weekend, soon.

Oh, I think I tried that top on! And I had the same reaction... this shirt is really cool. but for this much money, it shouldn't be bulging kinda funny there...and there...I suppose I could...never mind, I'm gonna go to Contempo. OK, maybe you didn't have that last bit.

(blush) That's the other thing I don't like about Hubba Hubba. I can't find clothes that are for guys, or I don't know which one are for guys or girls. Given the clientelle, I don't think anyone would bat an eye as I perused girls clothing, but.... a little sign saying "tall guys stuff" would be helpful.

I can always try Allston Beat. Or Oxygen, if I want that PLURrific look.

Oh, I think it was a guy's top, actually. at least the one I'm thinking of. explaining why it looked sort of odd on my chest.

That thing about the wine and the stars? It sounds absolutely amazing.

Then it will have to happen.

There were many fields in Pennsylvania we crashed out in during college. Once or twice we ventured deep on to the Penn State golf course, well away from the University, and set up camp on the 14th green. Excellent viewing conditions.

If anyone knows of some decent areas in Mass or Rhode Island, let me know. :)

as for the trip, it sounds wonderful. we were talking about the possibility of the perseids shower - wonder if that'll work for people?

They're in mid-August. The peak is August 12th, but according to this, the moon will cut down on some visibility:
